Delete a car from your policy

This section will help you to tell us all we need to know in order to DELETE a car from your policy.

However, before you proceed..

  • If this car is BEING REPLACED by another car, please use the Replace A Car section.
  • If you are also deleting a driver, please report this change separately.
  • If this car is ONLY BEING TAKEN OFF THE ROAD TEMPORARILY, please use the Coverage Change section.
  • If this car is the ONLY CAR INSURED WITH US, send us an E-mail at clientservices@carinsurance.ca requesting us to cancel your policy and we will send you a legal document for signature.

Here is how to delete a car from your policy….

When you go to the next screen, you will be asked:

  • a few questions so we can locate your policy information,
  • for a description of the car being deleted, and
  • when the coverage should end.

Once you submit your request, you will receive immediate confirmation by E-mail that we have received your request to delete the car.

In a few weeks, your insurer will send you the following documents by regular mail:

  • an endorsement confirming that the change has been made
  • a return premium cheque or new monthly payment schedule.
IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU MUST TELL US ABOUT THE CAR OR IT WILL NOT BE INSURED.
